Anyone want to get rid of thier stock upper pulley?? i have a 2lb on right now and was told that i am over boosting with that and the 4 lb lower so i am wanting to try a stock upper and the 4lb lower. please get back to me.

Also, had my truck dynoed and tuned at Lonestar Performance, VERY disapointed, truck feels slower than before, shifts are horrible, has anyone had the same problems with them?

I showed on the dyno only 353 rwhp and 444 ft/lbs of torque. This sounds real low with the following mods;
-2lb Upper
-4lb Lower
-Volant Cool Air Intake
-Magnaflow CatBack
-Upgraded to 90mm MAF
-SCT Red Chip (that they tuned)
and just the Auxilary idler kit
(also had them do the plugs to the NGK TR6's)

Le me know your thoughts on this, cause i am not happy, and if you have a stock pulley you want to get rid of call me tonight, thanks

I had on before the tune only the following, but it shifted better and seemed faster,

2lb upper
Volant Cool Air Kit
Magnaflow Catback
Auxilary idler kit
and Superchips blue chip with a generic tune from Terry

I'm so angry at Lonestar right now.....

Honestly, take your truck over to Terry at Performance Research. He is the man on getting it running right and fast.. leave that pulley on there.. he will get the tune right for you.. if you doubt it, go over to where people post on his work..never a unhappy customer..

See Terry, you need better help, especially if those are Dyno-Jet numbers. If it was a Mustang dyno, numbers would be lower numbers, but those would still be a bit low. The 99 L I bought from Mr. Ed, a former TALON member is completely stock other than a 5# lower and a tune and made 408 hp (DJ) and ran 12.8. Used to run 5# & 2# together on my other L year round with lots of timing year-round without a problem.

I agree with the others....... go somewhere else for your tune. I run a 8.50 lower pulley (4#) and a 2.80 upper pulley (2#) and see 14 lbs total. There's no way are you over-boosting with a 4/2 combo.

It's the tune, not the combo.

Back in Nov. 2002 Lonestar gave me a really hot tune, and it ended up causing 4 rods to find there way out of the block!!! I would say to stay away from Lonestar

Take Micheals advice and scrap the Lonestar tune and get a safe one from Terry

Get the tune from Terry - you're not overboosting.
