These Firestone bags are awesome. With my leveling kit installed the front end is level with the rear unloaded. So any load makes the front end stand up. I hepled re-sod mom's front yard and carried a full pallet of wet grass. The grass dude said it weighed 2500-3000lbs. I normally run 25 psi empty to keep a little rake in the trucks line. I aired the bags up to 75-80 psi and the truck stayed at the unloaded level and rode like a caddy. I went up to 90-95psi and it was 1" above empty height. The bag kit is rated for up to 100psi and boasts up to 5,000lbs extra capacity. A buddy with a 1500 silverado Z71 carried a half pallet for the project and he was riding on the axle bump stops. Now he wants a set of Firestone bags:D . The on board compressor allowed me to adjust the system on the fly to see what worked the best. Here is a pic at 90psi.

Here is a pic at zero psi to demonstrate stock spring capacity.

I spent more money and pieced my own system together. I used a ViAir 275C compressor from eBay for 120 bucks. I am installing the Firestone air comp kit on Jimmy's truck. The ViAir has about double the output and duty cycle of the Firestone comp so I can use it for other air needs on the trail.

let me know how the firestone install goes - If I get this new job I may have more discretionary income

I just don't like their switch and gauge panel. It is combo electric/pneumatic switch and doesn't mount well anywhere. That is why I did mine my way, the gauges match and the buttons blend in well.
My setup.

My plan was to stash the whole thing out of site. Either in glovebox or somewhere

I have a set of Firestone Bags on my lowered Supercrew and I tow my flats boat with only about 15 lbs of air in them. I towed a Mustang on a trailer with 40 lbs in the bags and the back end of my truck only went down a few inches! I still had suspension travel left and the ride was great. I really like the bags for lowered trucks that tow things and when I go on trips with no trailer, the truck rides better with about 15 lbs in them! Good Product!

looks like theres some people out there that like spending a grand or more on gauges, i really cant see how you could keep up with that many unless they all had playback feature like the nexus series gauges from autometer, but i bet the cabs lit up at night with 7 or more gauges:rll:, a few more and they should just go ahead and and some wings

I know a guy that knows a guy that owns a grass lot. He said wholesale is 97.50 and list is 125. One buddy paid 140 recently. I forget the variety I got but there was better Palmetto St Augustine for 20 bucks more I think. I got the regular st augustine for 97.50 a pallet plus tax.
