The truck was fired up around 730 or so... let her warm up, checked fluids and such and backed her out of the garage and drove her around the block...
Much thanks goes out to all for the help... but most of the thanks have to go these fellows...
Terry for putting up with my ass doing most of this on my own but getting me parts,
Steve-0 for coming over a few times to help me push the truck around in the garage
Tyson for helping come out to b/s and move the truck around
Tex- for coming out to help me install the motor in the truck
Mark for hooking me up with the polished timing cover.
And to the others. thanks for the support and all.. I thank you. This was a hard long build.. Being jobless for 4 of the 8 months the truck has been down made it realy stressfull. But you guys helped keep my head up..
Im going to have a bbq sometime and everyone will be invited!

im just glad my buddie from work was here to lend a hand and keep me sane and calmed down so i wouldnt rush... But when i fired up and idled on its own... i ran out of the garage and up and down the street yelling WHOOOO HOOOOOO and half the neighbors were out in the yards and they thought i was insane... But the old guy next to me brought me a beer and congratulated me.....knana

Grats on getting your truck running. You had to put a motor in it? I missed that somewhere along the line. What happened to your old motor or did you just take yours out to do extensive mods?

He pulled it himself, put forged internals in himself, cams, ported the heads himself, ported the blower himself, basicallt rebuilt the motor and ported everything himself

dang. very cool. i wouldn't have the time, energy, tools, back-up transportation, and mostly...the smarts, to do it myself.
