I get a bunch of these a DAY. Typical eBay/PayPal phish's number in the tens a day; mortgage/bank/credit card ones about the same. If I leave my john_pulliam account alone for a few days, my bulk folder hits the hundreds. My -ahem- "adult" account will hit the thousands in a week or two.
The last one that had me remotely concerned, I opened up PayPal, logged in in a separate (Firefox) browser, and found out it was a darned good phish.
Both paypal and ebay have spoof reporting email addresses, it's a good idea to send some of the "better" phishes to them and let them pursue them. It might not be a bad idea to report them to the FTC as well at uce@ftc.gov. Make sure you forward them as attachments, with full headers, and not as plain text, so they get ALL the information from them and can pursue the perps. :tu:
