Texas Street Legal Championships 11/17

[Denton Dragway]

Just wanted to let you guys know that Denton Dragway will be hosting the 1st Annual Texas Street Legal Championships on 11/17. We are having 4 racing classes and a car show.

I wanted to let you guys know because I heard you guys have strong following and we are paying the Internet car club with the most racers in attendance $250. I think you guys may have a chance.

Also, we have made many improvements at the track since we bought it in March...you'll be surprised if you haven't been in a while.

Denton is by far the best 1/8-mile track in the metroplex IMO.

I'd be down for this event.

Isnt' the 17th a Sunday ? Didn't know the track was open on Sundays....I have to drink beer and watch the NFL ticket on Sundays :beer:

Once my cats get here I need to install those headers and then the cats, throw in the new chip and dyno this fat a$$ then slap on some 18's and take her to the track....let me know when the dates/times get ironed out.

guys most the time the mustang clubs are the biggest clubs that usually show up at denton . we could do better if we all turned out . i run at this track all the time and they do a pretty good job of preparing the track. if you don't think there is enough traction all it takes is a few people to say somthing and they spray on some more vht.

Who thinks if a supercharger is stock from the factory, then it should run in the stock class? Well denton doesn't?. But denton does hook very well.

With the mustang club and the LS1 club, we do not have a chance to get the 250.00 unless everybody shows up.

Is the modified class a heads-up class? If so, unless we run 9s and 10s we're out in the first round. Too many modified Mustangs and F-Bodies out there that are purpose-built (and still street legal). I want to at least know I have a chance of going a couple of rounds.

There will be a bracket racing class sponsored by the Horsepower store. I think it is on our website. Anyway, that class will be handicapped with dial-ins.

So can you explain the reasoning behind the Lightning not being in the stock class? It is in fact a stock vehicle....I think it's just plain dumb to have it running in a class with Mustangs and F-bodies with superchargers, turbos and NOS when this is a production vehicle.
