Wow, lost in the last 2 seconds by a goofed timeout call that left us with an entire court to cross in 1.8... Howard wasted our clutch timeout by mistake while Wade was shooting a free throw.... We have to make more free throws guys.

Let us not forget the horrrrriiffffic foul calling . There is something incredibly wrong when one player shoots as many free throws as an entire damn team.

The Mavs need to man up and blow their a$$es out in the next two games and take the refs out of the equation.

yeah but how many of the fouls called are because they do it intentional on Shaq. All I know is somehow I go shanghai'd into watching the game, or should i say have it on. there are way to many goofy-ass rules in this game. All I know is when I woke up I found out the Mavs lost. After the little I watched (when I could stay awake) - that will probably be the end of my watching career.
plus that is what they should be doing anyway - you don't count on the refs to call it good, or bad. Just go out and execute!

I miss Shaq. They should have got rid of Kobe. Go Shaq go!

Yeah, the blown "time out", which really wasn't, because he was asking the bench if he needed to after the second free throw, the dumbazzed ref decided he as gonna interpret the hand motions as a "time out".

What really "sealed" the game for us was the blown calls at the other end: when Wade drove the right side of the court, he grabbed Howard's(?) shorts and yanked--RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE REF!!--then turned and pushed thru him and Harris(?), and THEN the ref blew the whistle, not for a foul for yanking the shorts, a bogus-azzed foul on Harris for whatever.

I swear, this league is rigged. More bogus calls against the Mavs than anything. Either that, or all the refs are actually legally blind.

I'm beginning to rethink this, what with Avery b1tching about the refs, and the obvious response (most calls going against the Mavs, and that STUPID STUPID suspension of Stackhouse--oh, and did anyone see the exact same play, 'cept by the Heat, and he's not gonna get a single second of suspension! :hammer:). If we make it in 7, it'll be a miracle, and NOT what the NBA is wanting. :throw:

heat in 6 to hopefully get it overwith.

As for the refs, if there is a problem makbe it is because the coach is always bitching. But even worse remeber Cuban tends to harp on them as well. It's human nature that if you have someone bitching at you or about you all the time, they will ended up being treated a little differently.

As long as they do it, they will probably pay the consequences.

So give on on this BB stiff, and go watch Edmonton win it's series. I think it might be tonight!

Pretty much everyone was complaining up to this series, so there is something to it. And Cuban and Avery were fairly quiet 'til Game 4, and that bogus suspension. Now thta the leauge is "embarrassed" (as if their fixing and bogus ref'n aren't embarrassing enough), they won't let the Mavs take it, at least easily.

The fact remians that the NBA doesn't have any way to police the refs, and do'nt want it. The superstards get one set of rules, and the grunts another set; and once the leagues decides who's going to get a title, they git it, whether they deserve or not.

I agree. I think that is chicken $hit ball when they foul Shaq and he doesn't even have the ball. You either get it done or you don't. I've been a Shaq fan for years and was sorry to see him leave the Lakers; he should have retired there.

I want to see Shaq, Dwayne and the Heat take this one home, which will be another blow to the Lakers and Kobe that they could ge along with just a Kobe (T.O. of basketball).

So what do you do when Shaq starts tossing elbows and pushes, and the refs don't call that (like when he shoved Nowitzski out of bounds, with no foul)??

It's all good if you are doing it to someone who actually has the ball and is making a play for it. Like the fool that sent shaq flying... that was all good. But when he is just walking down the court and you fool him that is what I have a problem with. And that happened way too many times... and it makes for sorry entertainment.

Basketball itself is sorry entertainment, to begin with. Besides that, when the refs aren't calling Shaq for his fouls, what else can you do? Let him keep going and murder people on the court? Or make him pay and send him to the line, where he's worse than the worst spare in the league?

Personally, I think this business of two sets of rules--one for the spares, one for the stars-- is bullshit. If a star can't play by the rules, then the dummy shouldn't play, period.

David Stern on Pardon The Interruption on ESPN, mealy-mouthing around Cuban's $250k fine and his outbursts the other night. He keeps trying to justify how things are going in the league, but he's failing horribly. Oh, now he's comparing fouls to pornography!! :rll: what a complete idiot.

I have never seen a ref blow the whistle in the last 10 sec of play. At least on a drive to the bucket. Teams know not to foul in a situation like that and the Mavs didn't. I could have swore that I saw a backcourt violation also. Refs->:throw: <- Me. Game 4 the Mavs got beat by the Heat. Game 5 the Mavs got beat by the refs. I hope that the Mavs whoop the dog $hit out of them tonight.

Yeah, especially when that is 1/1000th of your net worth. That is about $10-$100 for most.;)

Sorry you Mav fans didn't get your wish... The Heat, or should I say Dwayne, kicked your a$$... and did it twice tonight by coming back from double digit deficits in two different quarters.
Better luck next year :evil
