I don't know why I came to work today....nobody else did. I'm bored.

My friend wanted to borrow my L for a while. He's going through a midlife crissis and is kind of "divorced" so he thought that it would be fun to drive around. He took my truck and gave me his brand new F150 SuperCab. I used to have almost the same truck. I don't care because I hardly ever drive the L so It doesn't matter to me who's white truck sits in front of my house.

I actually had to use it [my friends f150] to pick up furniture we ordered for the baby. Holy cow it seemed like a boat. I don't know how you guys do it (I know a lot of you guys drive bigger trucks). I've been driving relatively small cars since gas prices shot up and I couldn't believe the differnce. I will never go back. I don't know how I would park something that big at work. I used to do it but I don't know how. Anyway, bored at work, just something that came to mind. Anybody?

Okay, I'll throw you a bone,
I am still driving a 88 K5 because I don't want anything longer and there hasn't been a replacement for ~15 years. 2 door full size 4x4 V8 SUV. I'll be eligible for classic plates on the K5 in 2 years.

Tom,
If I had been in town, I would have gone to work.. get some work done while there isnt anyone there and save a day of PTO..

I dont find my truck that hard to park or drive around, however, the new F150's are/seem a lot bigger than mine.. then if you get an extended cab of any kind, holy moly, they fee like pigs.. I will give them this, the new ones feel a lot stiffer and ride pretty nice..

Yes they ride nice but the biggest difference is the lack of interior noise. It's quieter on the highway than our BMW.

I hadnt ridden in one that far.. I was able to recognize the ride difference very quickly though.. hard to compare noise levels on a V6 Ford F150 to my L..
