...for slicks at the strip. What would you guys recommend? I got a set of Hoosier QTP's 26X9.5X16?(sorry if I got the #'s in the wrong order). I'm thinking somewhere around 15-18.

Thank you very much. Didn't know there'd be a difference between the two tracks. :tu:

It has to do with the ending speed, low air on the 1/4 gets kind of scary on the big end.IMHO.

thats the truth.... first time you go down the 1/4 take it easy.. firm grip on the steerting wheel.. The rear can feel like its going to get squirly.. espicaly if the track has any bumps in it...

I'm gonna check out Kennedale probably this weekend, if everything goes well. So I'll keep it at 15 psi, and have a good grip on the steering wheel. Thanks again guys:tu:.

Will a panhard bar make this better?

not when your only running around 18lbs of pressure in a slick with soft sidewalls... Its the slicks that make it get squirly...

Dana,

Did you buy slicks? It's not that bad. It sort of feels like the rear is floating. As long as the track prep is good you'll be fine. I've been using MT ET Streets- pretty muck a slick with grooves in it.

Tom,
I bought Tom Liss' slicks, just got my Metco's in and got a panhard bar too.. will get them installed pretty quickly and get to the track to see what it'll do. Not interested in a quarter mile bullet, but want the best all around I can get with some bling... am almost there..
