A continuing tradition: the new model variant SLR "722 Edition" is a homage by Mercedes-Benz to the unforgettable victory won by the British racing legend Stirling Moss and his co-driver Denis Jenkinson in a Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR with the starting number 722 (indicating a start time of 7.22 a.m.) at the Mille Miglia in 1955. With an output of 478 kW/650 hp and a corresponding performance, the new super sports car, which goes on sale on July 11, will not only make the hearts of car enthusiasts beat faster.

5.5L Supercharged V8
650hp, Not sure how much torque but probably more than the standerd SLR which has 575lb-ft.
0-100km/h (62mph) - 3.6s
Top speed - 337km/h (209.4mph)
New 19" wheels
390mm (15.35") brakes
Some exterior and interior modifications

So with dealer markups it'll be somewhere along the lines of $600k(ish). I have a friend of mine who works at Park Place Motorscars(Benz/Porsche) in Dallas, and he said that the SLR's(regular) had stickers going for $475k, but were selling at $100k over invoice.

Beautiful car. I'm just trying not to drool...

The exhaust on those cars is bad ass. Its straight off the headers. That is one bad ass car. You also have to have an appointment to even test drive the car at the Mercedes Dealership by my house.
