Anyone using a XBox 360?

Anyone here own a XBox 360?

I sold my game system about 2 years ago, and now I'm thinking about getting a 360. I'm figuring that the 360 is pretty nice (from the one I played with at Target) but looking at Best Buy, there are about 20 combinations of parts and packages that you could buy. Any recommendations? Any locations where I could get a sweet deal on one? :tu:

There arent any deal on the systems - maybe on a package

360 is a good system - graphics on new games are amaing - if you have HD TV you will be even more impressed

Dont bother with the core system - you need the hard drive and the wireless controllers are cool - the play and charge kits dont keep the things charged unless you play it a lot but thats a minor issue

The premium system has most everything you need to get connected

Need for speed most wanted is good game - there are lots of game demos you can dload and play before buying - the thing comes with Xbox live month free or something - DONT buy the renewal on the system get it at store - much cheaper.

I have the x box 360 premium system and really like it. I have a few games but I play Madden about 80% of the time.

The new nintendo system which comes out around thanksgiving is supposed to be prety good, and the PS3 is supposed to be released next year and it has blue ray, like the new DVD players.

Anyone experience lock-ups on the 360?

I don't have one, but my son works at Fry's. He said they had some kind of heat related problem that was pretty bad in the early (Christmas) models. You might check that out and it could be under warranty.

i have the premium and love it, I have need for speed most wanted(good game), over G fighters(great simulator game), madded 06(freezes up fourth quarter of the game), fight night round 3(fun game), ghost recon(sweet game)

The new nintendo system comes out this fall, and the PS3 comes out next year, the PS3 has blue ray so the graphics are supposed to be way way way better than the 360

more than likely just the disc i had, none of my other games has ever done it, but it was frustrating to be up by 3 touchdowns and 2min left and boom locks up

I've read somewhere that they have heat-related lockups on some of the more intense games, there's a couple of products out there that can help--one in particular is a fan unit that attaches to the back of the xbox, shaped similarly to the unit so that once attached you can't tell it's there, has 3 small fans in it that help airflow.
