Sorry More questions.

Who knows about the AEM 30-4100. I bought on thinking it was just going to display my AFR. After glancing at the DESTRUCTIONS, it seems this thing also controls something. Man what did I get myself into?
Has any one ever install one of these things?... Or do i need to go to M.I.T. just to figure this thing out. :eek:

I think it is just a guage. I'm pretty sure that is what I have in my truck.

Looks like a nice gauge to me. I like the 2 1/16" size. I should probably pull my boost gauge and just run one of those.

I bought a fuel pressure gage and it came with npt threads on the pressure switch. There is no place on the fuel line I can mount the switch.. Is the a piece I can buy to put in line with a stock fuel line set up?

The Shrader valve on the passenger side of the fuel rail is 1/16 NPT. That's a really odd size and you probably won't find anything with that thread pitch at the hardware store.

However, Autometer makes an adapter for it. I picked mine up at the Racing Zone in Arlington when I did mine over 2 years ago. Anybody that sells Autometer stuff should have that adapter.

I did some more looking

Fuel Rail Adapter; 1/16'' NPT Male to 1/8'' NPT Female Adapter for fuel rail

Autometer partnumber 3280. You just remove the shrader valve on the fuel rail and replace it with this adapter and the sensor.

OK I got everything hooked up but the fuel pressure. I cranked it up, all the lights worked the afr zipped across the scale and back, then settled down at 15.5. I let it warm up till the idle down, and give it a little gas, and let off. The gage pegged as I was pressing the peddle and then when i let off it bounced back to 13.1 then settled back to 15.5 Is this right? I thought 12.5 was the # to be at.

The wideband should read 14.7 at an idle. Sometimes it takes a minute or two if the engine is cold, but once it goes into closed loop mode it should read correct.

14.7 at idle and cruising, 11.5 to 12.5 at WOT.

I got to drive it to Dallas today. And I watched the afr most of the way.
Slow in-town driving afr readings bounced between 14.9 and 15.5
HWY driving 65 + mph 14.4 to 15.5
1/2 throttle take off 13.5 (about)
3/4 take off 11.1 to 12.5 (6 pounds of boost)
I did not take off WOT. I try-ed, but cops every where this morning.
