I think I need to replace my IAC, I have already cleaned it but still having problems...i have been having problems with a low idle, but it was a smooth low idle. Now the idle gets rough and drops to 450 rpm's and back up to 550 rpm's every now and then. Also right when i start the truck the rpm's drop to 500 instantly and slowly creep up to 700 rpms when i am in park. then they drop to 500-520 rpm's in gear. does this sound like a bad IAC? if so, Where can i get a replacement IAC? what are the part numbers?

VatoZone and Oreillys carry them. They are about 45 bucks or so. I would check the vacuum lines and various connections around the engine bay.

A fellow Lightning owner brought his truck to me with the same problem. Turns out his air filter had not been cleaned and re-oiled in over 30K miles and was choking off the engine.
Fouled a couple of plugs in the process of driving it with the dirty filter too, so those were changed as well.
Idles smooth and runs strong now.... picked up an extra pound of boost, too. :d
