Well its all supply and demand.. if the price goes that high, fares will rise, fewer will travel, fewer flights will be flown, demand for the fuel will drop, price of a barrel of oil then drops too.. We also have several new ethanol plants coming on line along with more plants to make biodiesel. These too will have an impact on the price of oil.. very few commodities have an inelastice supply/demand curve..
