Big USED mostly empty MAC tool box for 3000 ?
Uh no thanks...
He doesnt even have the equivalent of a $300 craftsman socket set there.
3 or 4 used snap on air tools is not worth it

here it is on MACs site

Its MSRP is $3499 - Street price is about $2750 - used makes it worth half the street price - lets be gernerous and make the box worth $1500
There is maybe $500 in tools in it - once again being very generous

Its like anything if you find the right buyer ...
I guess from my point of view - I would only buy a box like that if it was 50% off MSRP or better ...

This (http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=4922) one is better, but you think he would clean up the box before trying to sell it.

Like P.T. Barnum said: "There's a sucker born every minute". :rll:

And, what's the damned point of having a toolbox with some "name" on it?? Doesn't make you any better a mechanic. :hammer:

Divorce and drugs will make you do some crazy sh*t. One of my close friends is going through it. He went from 400k a year to selling everything he owns.... practically. He built himself an apartment above his shop to save money on rent/mortgage. It's funny because he could have paid his mortgage for a year for what it cost to build his little 1000sqft love nest. It's actually nice, but $40k to live above a radiator shop? He has a lovely view of 9000sqft of shop and another shop on the other side. That's living!! If somebody offered him enough he'd sell his enormous snap on box too. Drugs do crazy things to people.
