Getting this alot the last few days around this time (5pm-5:40pm)

"The server is too busy at the moment. Please try again later."

Doesn't appear to be a large number of people on the site-usually only 4 to 6

Thanks for the heads up - We had some malware on the server about a week ago but that was resolved ( Yes Kiddies Linux does have problems too )

The Forum is set to pop that message when the load is higher than 6 which is REALLY high - I havent seen those messages - If someone that has my cell number sees the message call me so I can see the server in the act..

The server runs about 40 sites so it may not be ours thats the problem... Its usuallty the pesky Marauder site that is the CPU hog ... :evil

We are trying to narrow down whats going on...

Seems to happen a lot at 5pm - 6pm time frame as it did today..

Keep the reports coming - As mark#2 would say "we need more data"

I get it very regularly and sporadically from these Extended Stays, this evening included for the past 6 months, from Houston and Dallas and even behind different corporate firewalls.

The location you are in has no bearing on the error - its purely a server load issue, We are trying to figure out what causes the server load spike...

I got a server busy message this morning around 5:20 am. Additionally, I had 55 unread posts when I connected, but when I got the busy server message I had zero.

No big deal. Just keeping you updated.

Thanks for heads up-
The mem usage was high - load was high and server has been up for 40 + days so I rebooted it.
Should be better now

Im sure Ronald will have something useless to add here
