Ok i got my truck dynoed for the first time today. It was on a dynojet here are the numbers

1st 352.6 HP 460.5 TQ

2nd 357.6 HP 471.2 TQ

does this sound right to you? I thought it would be at least 390.

Also i ran my race tune for the first time last night and i ran a 13.2 3 times in a row so i switched to the warm tune and ran another 13.2.

I have managed to run a 12.9 but it was about 40* outside.

Is there something wrong maybe??

In this heat your numbers are probably off by 35 to 45 HP IMO

Agree especially with the high humidity today, both kill HP, maybe even more than Steve stated.

If you only have a chip and 4# type setup those times are in line. Most stock trucks are running high 8's and high 13's in this weather. 12 anything with a pulley and tune is a good feat. I wouldn't sweat dyno numbers they fluxuate 40+ depending on weather and locations..
If it stumbles, bangs, smokes, or dies I would be concerned.

you put the 6# and you tuned the truck with a SCT tuner

It is still just a tune and pulley, no headers, nitrous, or aftermarket supercharger etc. As long as you are changing the tunes correctly and using the correct fuel that I all I can guess over the internet. Make sure the IC pump is circulating etc..

Can you post all of your mods? That would help with the discussion. :tu:

Your times are pretty darned good for the mods you have. I don't know that I would place too much merit in dyno numbers. 1/4 mile times are the true measure of how fast your truck is.

When you were at the track, how were your 60 ft. times? Do you have traction bars?

i cut 1.8's all day long i have traction bars and slicks.

I ran a 12.9 with a 2.0 60' on my 20" rims

I think it sounds about right. Mine with CAI, 4#, SCT tune, TR6, Magnaflow cat-back, FTVB and LFP heat exchanger ran 12.8 @ 109 on drag radials... but the temps were 45^F. In the air you ran in the other night, mine wouldn't have been any better than low-13s either.

I agree with the others about the dyno #s.

Its light, but probably safe.

For reference, I ran 6# with slicks and bars to a best of 12.37 at 109 on race fuel. Typically when it was hot, I would average 12.60's. Since then, I picked up the SCT2, and ran a better 12.32 with 18deg of timing...

Like have been trying to get at... my truck should be in the high 12's consistenly.

Just understand that every truck is different. I would say post up or find out what your Air/Fuel mix was on the dyno pulls and go from there. I was always able to set my A/F to run about 11.2 to 11.5, and run without worry....

Terry will fix you up if it needs it though....

What kind of trap speeds are you turning? Based on your mods and your 60' times I'm kinda' wondering if maybe it's launch technique rather than a lack of power that's putting you into the 13's.

when i ran the 12.9 when it was below 40* i had a 105 trap and that time i had a 2.0 60'

when i ran the 13.2 i had a 1.8 60' and a 102 trap

Terry if i brought the truck to you. Would you look at my tune and see if there is anything you could do with it. If so pm me a price
