I just love a 93 Cobra! Always wanted one. You cant beat a full exhaust with flowmasters and a manual tranny. You have a gen 2 L already and if you are looking for a toy the Cobra would be perfect IMO. Good luck!

I'd agree with the Cobra as well. They were way underrated at 235hp stock, but finding one unmolested might take an intensive search.
If you mod the hell out of the Lightning and it breaks, you're down to a rental. Buy the Cobra and slowly mod the L to hell. :)

In a couple years when my insurance recovers I'll be shopping for a 93' cobra. So if you can do it now . . I would! My opinion . . don't know how far you'd go to buy one but I know of a place in florida that sells nothing but mustangs . . . at one time had over 80 mustangs for sell . . .with 12 93' cobras as part of their inventory . . . they're "mustangs unlimited" in ft. lauderdale, fl. if for some reason I've fudged their name I apologize . . . been a while since I lived in Fl. Good luck!!

My thoughts on the 93 would be finding one that is nice would cost 12-14K:eek2: They are kind of collectable so you wouldn't want to build it for racing. It would be like a parade car around my house:)

That's basically the intention. I know I'll have a hard time finding one that isn't all ragged out, but I'm looking to see if I can find one that has all of the stock trim (wheels, spoiler, hood, etc) and most other stock components (engine, tranny, etc.). I'd probably get an exhaust on it, maybe change out the gears, but that would be about it. I have found a couple of guys locally and around the country that are selling, so we'll see. I might be able to get one for $11K or so ; who knows.

I got first dibs on a ride! SHOTGUN!!!
P.S. Try to get one with teal paint. They made 1000 in that color and 2000 each in black and red. Its the rarest and coolest of the 3 IMO.

Trucks are cool- Go with the GEN 1- lots of potential in that 351
but then again the TEAL93 is one of the best looking mustangs ever.

Teal? You pansies. Go for the performance red or black. You live in McKinney so sexual preference_is_to be somewhat guarded. Avoid the teal. :D

Tom,
I owned a '93, and the worst thing I EVER did was sell that car after I got divorced. At THAT time, reports showed there were less than 2500 that were in one piece (not totalled and within the US). There were only 49xx made, so it is VERY rare. I loved mine, and even though it is rare, I did alot of work on mine (Victor 5.0 intake, TW heads, TKO tranny, etc)...I love that car, and given the chance I might consider it again... :crying:
