ANyone know of a program or website that filters your Email for you. I heard of one that made new contacts request approval before they could send messages. All those porn sites are catching up to me now:hammer:

Jeez Terry, the DA award goes to you this week.

OK, you using Webmail (Yahoo, MSN) or an e-mail client, like Outlook?

Terry,

If you're using MS Outlook for your email, check these out:

I Hate Spam

Matador

I've been testing this one for about a week, and it does an ok job of weeding out the spam. It uses a couple of different methods.

These seem to be the top two right now. From what I read, the technology will continue to get better, which may mean that every year a new, better program will come out.

Good luck!

I tried out SunBelt Software's I Hate Spam software for free for 30 days on MS-Outlook (not MS-Outlook Express, but MS-Outlook) and it works eerily well... I was actually quite impressed. It'll be worth the $19 registration after 30 days.

I also have Outlook Express at work for personal email, since MS-Outlook is used with our corporate email server, but it works like crap on O.Express.... The specific version for MS-Outlook works awesome however....
