I am going to send off my next oil change for analysis. It is very informative if you plan on keeping your truck a long time. I am using www.Blackstone-labs.com (http://www.Blackstone-labs.com) their kits are free and the basic test is 20 bucks. I will also do a TBN to see how much longer I could stretch oil changes to.

I cant remember right off what's the name of the Lube shop right next to the truck wash which is next to the Flying J on I-20 and Bonnieview but thats who I used for my oil analysis. The printout told me I had ALOT of outside particles in my oil which pointed to my dirty air filters:hammer: . Its only $15.00 and it takes about 10 minutes.

Thanks, it would be easier to deal with a local lab. Yes, aftermarket filtration and shearing is what I am concerned about mainly. These 6.0's are very hard on oil viscosity.

I'll be interested to hear results, as yours is sucking the same air mine is, for the most part.
