Who all is planning on going?
I called in a favor today and made plans to borrow a trailer from a friend to trailer in my L as it will be it's first run on the NX kit and I do not want to take any chances of breaking something...(launching plugs/snapping drive shaft) and being stranded.
I think this time around I will keep her in full street dress...although stripping the weight to 4380 with me in it was pretty impressive...sure looked ugly as hell...plus the wife didn't much care for my McGiver seat I made for her...imagine she will stay home this next go around.:d

Sounds like a great idea! My tranny should be in this weekend with all my new mods and I,m ready to run her. The only problem I will have, is traction. My tires are gone and I need some bars, but we will see what I can get. Come-On Mr. Hogg! Is it time to show Hallsville your Beast agian? I don't get on much on the computer being in Dallas all the time, but I will keep up!:burnout:

I have my new MT ET Streets 26X11.5X16 on AE aluminum wheels with my front runners (AE 16X7's) but doubt I will get my Truck Traks in seeing as I told my wife I wouldn't buy any new toys till after Christmas:hammer:

OK, I stand corrected...wife said to go ahead and get the traction bars and she would pay the bill when it came in for part of my Christmas.
Ordered my Truck Traks from Sal today....wooohoooo!!!!
New slicks, new juice and new traction bars....makes me feel all warm and fuzzy.
Doug: where do I send the money for my 11 second sticker...can I preorder.....
On a serious note, I am going to try to pull a sub 12 run without juice first...I am not that far from it now.
Then after I have my best run, then towards the end of the day I can bottle feed her and see what she does.
That way if I get "Black flagged" It is at the end of the day and it won't matter.:tu:

Hey Tim,
You might want to give those East Texas boys a heads up. Let then know that the Talon club will be headed that way, kicking a$$ and take names later!:D
...and for those who think they want some, tell them to bring all the HP they got and a lunch cause it's going to be a long day.:D

Hey, I guess I will take names while your kicking ass, because I am not going to have my truck.:(
Does you also saying it is going to be a long day meaning you got a cage finally? If not it will probably be a short day, because they aren't going to let you make more than 1 pass.
I tell you what though, you and I are going to head on over to Gilliam one night. It is about 1:15 minutes East of me. The track is only a few years old and in the middle of no where. They have IHRA rules (11.49 quicker for cage) and I have even seen a lot of F bodys running 11.0's without a cage. The atmosphere is surely different.

Long day , short day it doen't matter. As long as everyone there knows that the Talon Club is the one to beat.
But then again, they might let us slide, be an all Lightning event. They also didn't say anything to me when I made my first 11 sec pass there.
No plans for a cage right now. On the look out for a nice CAR HAULER. Do you know somebody that has one for sale for a nice price?:D
