Passed one down in S. Florida on the way to the Dolphin game last Sunday. I saw another on the way home from the game. They are tiny.....a wreck in that is death for sure.

I saw these things all over the place in Europe when I went several years ago. They are pretty nice, just really, really small.

Their claim to fame is being able to park nose in to a parallel parking spot because they are so short.

As for "only 40 mpg", these cars aren't supposed to be extreme economy cars they are just extremely small. They have pretty substantial power for thier size, with a compareable weight/hp ratio to any normal car.

I understand all of that.. in fact, didnt they park them nose in to the curb and were able to park two of these to a parking slot? or was that another one?
If I wanted to go that small, I would insist on great gas mileage.. otherwise, for 40 mpg I would rather get a Honda Civic..
