head bolts

I'm replacing the head bolts to studs
does anybody know if the 4.6 is equal to the 5.4?
I called ARP and they don't have a part# for the Lightning 5.4 :bs

Tony2000, I don't know the answer to your question but I am building a 4.6L that is using ARP studs instead of bolts. You might take a head bolt from the 5.4 and match it with the part number for the 4.6L and see if they match. If they do, then you solved your problem I would think they will match.

Yes, they are all the same. I think the # is either 156-4301 or 146-4301

Wether it being a 4.6 or a 5.4, 2 valve or 4 valve, ARP head studs fit all Modular motors.

Those bolts are over 200 bucks:eek2: Probably the same price as stock bolts though:rolleyes:

Just about.....you can use the ARP's over and over though
