I used to work on Regals. They build very nice baoats.

I think the Volvo powertrain is also better than the Mercruisers. 58MPH is quite fast for a 22 foot boat with that motor. Does it run 58 at WOT, or do you have to throttle it back to keep form hitting the over-rev chime? Anyway, Regals are high quality boats with a very nice hull design. They run smoother than a lot of other boats in choppy water.

Too bad my wife doesn't like boats!!! (she doesn't like motorcycles either, but I already had them!!! )

58 is the MAX - flat water - low weight etc
It doesn't over rev - prop is sized correctly

This boat does a lot of things well. You can ski behind it, tube, wake board, or just cruise. it rides real nice - handles choppy Texas waves well.
It will easily go 55+ mph with passengers. Its set up to use, I added a 12v outlet in the glove box so you can power your ipod or recharge your phone, there is also a headphone jack that feeds the stereo in glove box as well. Control the stereo from inside the glove box, at the drivers seat or on the transom.

Love the boat.Sorry to here about foundation trouble.I lived in Farmers Branch and it has the same black clay as Carrolton.The more you walk in it the taller you get :rll: .I used Fox Foundation,they did a good job but when i did an addition and dug down to 4 of the piers,i found the plates they set the foundation beam on after jacking had ALL fell out.What they do is set a 12X12 block on top of a double shaft pier cap and then jack the foundation and put variuos sizes of 6X6 plates to shim the gap.The problem is all the plates shift around and fall off the block after time.Mine was about a year and a half.They need to tack weld the plates together and make a concrete dam around them so when the soil shifts they wont fall out.Just a heads up to ya.As far as insurance they covered my whole house,cause i had a slab leak on the drain where it all tied together going out to the city line.The leak was under the bathroom.Insurance (State Farm) did flow tests and decided the leak was enough to cause settlement and paid the whole bill.They pay for all the work on slab leaks less the actual repair parts which are cheap.Make sure you do a slab plumbing check on your house.The drain lines always break first,also do one after you lift the house.Good Luck.
