Some time ago we had a discussion about covering the cab vents with sound proofing material and the possibility of the airbags creating enough pressure to blow the ears.
After field testing the 2003 Lightning our data shows that the vents were covered and our test subject suffered no injuries due to increased cabin pressure.

I think if you stuff the ear holes on this device with fiberglass insulation your ears would be protected in the event of airbag deployment!

That is because the cabin was vented out the passenger side door. I still think that covering the vents is a bad idea. Again, sorry for your testing.:( Glad you and the others are okay.
