I've seen just one post... wesman and his 10-second @ 126mph pass; which BTW is sweet with only a 1.77 60'. Can you say... easy on driveline parts, and still run like a bat-out-of- ? That is WA 2 cool.

So what did some of you others run? Wish I could have gone (s/b in the low-12s now). I had a conflict since it got moved back a week (son's 12th b'day party).

I did lousy. 13.15 (2.0 60-ft) and red lighted by .03 in the first round. Had some good lights during Test n Tune and then got over anctious. Had a great time though and got to meet several additional members. We missed you.

Well, my motor let go just as I crossed the finish on my first run. Unfortunately, the timing system screwed up and I got no timed. But the truck was moving pretty good. Basically the same tune as LFest (12.29), but with a 6# pulley instead of a 4#er. A/F was 12.5 when it let go. No regrets...

Dennis,

Have you had your truck dyno'd recently? Just curious as to what the threshold was for your stock engine.

I ran a 12.8 @ 113 mph with a 2.1xx 60', Wes was behind me and said I spun the 28" Hoosiers like they were street tires, I had to get out of it 2 times before I could get traction past the 330 mark

so new 30" tall tires are on their way along with some suspension stuff and a good dyno tune for my race program

Michael, I thought you rand an 11.88 against that ford diesel truck with the pipe rack mounted on the bed. I think he ran an 11.96. He was right on your tail! Maybe I was dreaming...

I'll have to go back and check the slip, I thought it was a 12.8, but could be mistaken

You were sure spinning those slicks almost to the 1/8 mile mark!

Did you not get a retune for the 6#'r since LFest?? 12.5 is dangerous with a lot of boost.

BTW- I have video and a pic or two of your truck being towed etc. I think Terry got the run on video as well as the towing....I'll check to be sure.

I spun the crap out of the street tires and ran a whopping 13.4 with a 2.1 second 60 foot
I dont think I have EVER spun as bad as I did on that track ...
My 60s ranged from 2.1 to 4 seconds :evil

Dennis,

Have you had your truck dyno'd recently? Just curious as to what the threshold was for your stock engine.

Last dyno in September was 465 rwhp with the 4# pulley. I went to a 6# pulley with the same tune. The weather was pretty cool on Sunday so I would say I was probably close to 500 rwhp just about the time it let go.

Yeah, I was watching the A/F guage when the motor went. I was thinking to myself...I have a good run going so I am keeping my foot in it and when I get back to the pits, Terry can add a little more fuel and Holy Crap!

Maybe a little higher, very similar pulleys on the KB, ~520HP.
It really sucks you didn't get a time slip.:(

I like to see 11.5 A/F or richer on stock blocks for racing. KB puts 11.1 in print on his manuals. You'll gain 20+hp leaning it a full point. I tune most built motor trucks 11.8-12.0 unless they are unusually hard on the truck, LOL!

Thanks for the info. I'm not especially hard on my truck (and almost never go a full 1/4 mile blast...although I enjoy going 50-100 every now and then), but I'm at about the same power level...and I'm saving for a built block.

Are you having Terry build you a new one?

I picked up Ron's used motor and it as Terry's shop right now. Plans are to get it freshened up and add some aftermarket heads.

12.5 range with a 2+ 60' I trapped 112 on that same slip on the big end I had DR's and could not hook but the truck really ran well
