Yea, they have been playing with those for a while. I think the biggest obstacle left is that they create a lot more road noise than conventional tires.

they look ghey. What is the purpose? Are they lighter than a regular type tire?

more than likely its so you never have to worry about putting air in them, but theres no way thats cheap, my sisters slk has a spare thats similar to that, no air just a run flat

I could see maybe a spare tire application, but I'm thinking high performance would be out for sure.

it's called the "Tweel" and Michellin doesn't seem to want to give up. I've seen them on a 4-wheel bike and a forklift or something like that. Definately not for sports cars or our truck....imagine the expansion and then it'd fly off the wheel.....NEAT!!! :banana: maybe for something a bit more tame...let the SRT guys have it, I'll stick with my Nitto's, hah!
