I have found a few of these that turn your current air to fuel to wideband. Does anybody currently have one or should I just bite the bullet and buy the whole thing?

Autometer sells a kit that will turn the narrowband into a wideband unit. It's still a very inferior gauge, hard to read and mostly a lightshow even with the conversion.
You can get the AEM's for under $300, I'd call Terry and just get an AEM, far superior product to anythign Autometer offers.
