Was going to take some of HALO out for some autcross fun with local SCCA, but ran into a problem when I started reading the rule book. I could not find a class we could legally race in. Our blower pullies and hood scoops seem to keep us out of ALL classes.
Sixpipes, Doug, L8APEX and others, can you please advise what class you have been running in? Were you legal? We would even be willing to forego a chance at winning as long as we get to play.
Thanks for your help - Bob

Bob,
I have not attended any autocross events this year. I know they have previously allowed Lightings in F-Stock or E-Street Prepared, but we usually raced in SSP Class which is a catch all for vehicles that don't fit anywhere else. It really depends on the race director. If you can get in touch with your local SCCA chapter and let them know what you want to do, they should allow you to run in the SSP class. Check out this old link from 2001.

SSP has been my best class. It was against MR2's and other non V8 cars. If there are some HP straights you can do fairly well:tu: F stock seems to be full of Camaro's:rolleyes:

Thanks for the info. I will go back to my rule book and look some more and also e-mail local SCCA. Thanks - Bob
