Ok, no one is discounting this time, but for those who don't keep up with Z06-lore (C5 and C6 versions), let me tell you that this guy (Ranger) is a certified hot-shoe. I would be shocked if there are many amateur drag racers in the world who are better than he is. He is in the top 1% for sure, if not better than that.

At the same track he ran an 11.8 @ 119 with a stock (DRs only) C5 Z06. That is the fastest recorded time in N. America for a stock C5 Z06.

He's also running up there in NJ and we all know when the weather cools off they can have -2000' DAs consistently (says -850' on the day he made this pass).

So factor in those two things and you get some amazing times. No one will even come close to that down here in Texas. 11.4-11.5 @ 125 is more the norm here. He would be fortunate to run 11.1-11.2 at Ennis with the same car.

Again, I'm not discounting the time, or saying it isn't amazing. It is! Just trying to provide some details to this account.

In some reguards they do look like a plain C6 to the general public. There is a feel of plastic and snap-tite to the fit and finish/interior. I do not like the mud flaps that come on the car. But bang for the buck is unmatched anywhere. This 68K dollar pushrod engine will run door to door with anything under TWICE its price:bows .

yep.. I am waiting a couple of years to get a used one that I can afford. So, it will be at least another year before it happens.. I think the price will drop once the initial demand is met and the original new ones start to come off of leases and such.. So, they should be around or under the 50K price...
