Not sure if this is old news or not. I just saw it today. Once again it shows that GM is at least tickling our ears with some prototypes. Where is the new Lightning, Ford? Oh yeah... you let a bean-counter, ricer come over here and run SVT. Good job.
If the above truck makes production, I would buy it if I'm in the market.

It has been out on the forums for a couple weeks now, still very impressive, if any GM truck would hold their value like the SVT vehicles do, I would be in it. I love my L but always liked Chevy/GMC better

The one thing I really like about Ford versus Chevy is that the Ford is designed to take apart. The interior fasteners are a perfect example, you can actually take out the interior of a Ford truck, Chevy you have to break every fastener to get anything apart.
Another example is the connectors under the hood, Fords come apart, Chevy you have to break them almost everytime.
But the Chevy V8 pushrod motor is the icon.
That being said, Honda is the best engineered and I am going to try a Toyota next.

Having worked on both, I completely agree. I had to take special care and a lot more time when I was taking out the interior of my Z06 at one point. Fortunately, I didn't break anything, but I was lucky and had to be ultra careful.

IMHO, Ford screwed up when it dumped the OHV V8 for the "modular" OHC design. There is no reason at all they couldn't have a 351W version of the LS1/LS2/LS6 out there right now putting out 400-450hp, passing all emissions-compliance laws, and get good gas mileage.

ok, I liked it,, a lot.. the only thing I have gotten used to and not sure I want to go back is the auto tranny we have.. it sure makes it easy and drag racing an almost no brainer... I do wish it were a six speed with paddles for shifting, but am pretty happy the way that it is..not sure I would want to go back to a stick..

I am with you 110% on that one and have posted that I would like to have one of those for my next vehicle.. will just have to wait until some start coming off of leases and such and have the initial demand die down so I can get one at a reasonable price.
