O/D light flashing means you have trans problem and codes are stored. Smell the trans fluid off the dipstick. Maybe harness burning on the header or other problem.
check engine lite just came on, i just got a transmission flush about 1 and half ago at Nichols Ford

Then I would take it up with them. Make sure to check the fluid level before they can tamper with it.
the gears kick in ,but when press the gas thats when the mufflers make the poppin noise

How many miles on the trans. and have you kept the fluid changed, I would pull out the dip stick and see if there is any clutch on it or if it smells burnt.

Sounds like my L did about 6 months ago. Check the wiring harness like Terry said. Thats what was wrong with mine. It had fallin down one the manifold and melted to it causing a short.

If that was your first tranny change it may be toast. When you wait a long time and it starts getting nasty in there once you put in the new stuff if I remember correctly it starts breaking the gunk down and will mess it up. I was told if you wait too long you might as well not even do it because of that exact problem.

Thats one of those things were you don't know how it was driven before you got it, Did you get it from a dealership?

What kind of transmission fluid did they use?
You should use MERCON/DEXRON III only or equivalent synthetic transmission fluid.

when i bought it only had 49000 miles on it and never been raced before from an Infinti dealership on 121/183

RSVT it might not be your motor, like terry said if your o/d light flashes you have trouble codes that are coming from your trans. Another thing your stall might have locked up that's what mine has done in the past, matter of fact Terry has my truck for the very same thing. I also have a check engine light on but mine is from O2 sensores. If you can just take it to Terry.

i dont know if this has been said yet but there is a fuse on mine that blew once and caused similar issues, its a 15 amp i think in the fuse box under the hood, and its the fuse closest to the front of the truck
