Cranked but felt like it was flooded. Any ideas?
Sure didn't "feel" right:confused:

About 300 RPM for 3 seconds then up to choke idle 1600 RPM

Conditions:
Drove to work yesterday (90 mile commute) and it sat for a few hours in garage before cranking again. It was a "spirited" drive home from work.

About 1/4 tank, engine was not completely cold, filter and plugs replaced in last 10K, 49800 miles on motor

That is the German inspired easy start programming. It knows how cold it is so it fires on alternate cylinders until oil pressure is achieved. This promotes longer bearing and crank life:twitch:

I use to have a Superchip that made my truck hard to start in cold weather. Just as you described. I finally figured it out by pulling the chip during cold spells without any start up problems. Whenever I put the chip back in, it would crank for 3-5 seconds before starting.
