Looks very cool! Questions:
How much is it going to cost for this whole thing if we wanted to participate?
Is it just the cost of a chip at regular price plus a share of the dyno rental fee?
How much will it cost if we have our own chip?
Should I ask Sal these questions?
I am waiting for my account to be activated on the HALO site so I thought I could ask these questions here.

yea if you buy a new chip, I would assume they are normal price. The only cost will be a split of the dyno day fee, Sal will tune on the dyno and for anyone who has an autologic chip from him. This would be the time to get things like questions/custom programs done, or just simple things like, adjust the idle or shift or something.. something he could do onsite first hand, you could try it out, and if need be change it again.

What if we have a second hand autologic chip, what will the reburn fee be for 1,2,and4 way reburns?

Im not sure how sal handles that, you will have to ask him. If you need I can always check with him for you.

The last reburn on the 4-way chip I have was $20 via mail. I presume he'll be doing the same in person.
Hey, the third weekend in January is my birthday. A road trip for my b-day and some dyno tuning sounds pretty cool!:nana2

After reading the forum on the HALO site it seems like it wouldn't be a fruitful trip if we head down. It sounds like the HALO guys have dyno and tuning time pretty much filled up and the liklihood of us getting tuning time looks pretty grim. I want to take this opportunity, but if I drive down to Houston and come back empty- handed I'll be very ****ed off :hammer: , so it'll be better if I don't go and risk that.

Sorry for the confusion, Madness posted without doing the math on how many trucks we could accomodate. Even after deciding to expand the dyno session to a two day event, it will be hard to accomodate our own members.
I am not running this show, but Sal will be bringing and selling chips. However, there will not be enough dyno time for us to share and suspect programing time would have to be done on the non-dyno day of his trip. At present we can not even confirm date since dyno availability has not been confirmed yet.

So if Sal is coming down this way, maybe he could plan a stop over in Dallas for a day. Would make sense to me if he is going to the trouble to travel as far as Houston, Dallas ain't that far out of the way. Maybe we can get a schedule set up to do Houston and Dallas in the same week.

Guess I should have read the whole Halo thread before I posted. The dyno commitment would not be a problem, but all the other freebies doesn't sound too atractive to me. Never mind.................. I'll just continue to have Swanson Performance do my autologic burns. http://www.fordvschevy.com/forum/images/smilies/shifty.gif

Those were my (HALO-posted) thoughts, it would be a shorter trip to D/FW area for one than ya'll coming here. Same warning: make sure you know level of demand before you limit your plans to one day. Ours has grown from one day to two and will still be tight. The only problem I saw with Sal coming to D/FW afterwards was that it would be in the Monday - forward time range. But assume that would work for those who really want Sal's help.
Again - I am not Sal's agent, nor running the show on this end. Suggest you talk to Andre and Sal on requesting/coordinating this one. This trip is an idea that the Andre & club has been working for a good while and plans are just now coming together. Andre is out of town until Sat PM.
I just saw the earlier posts and wanted to let ya'll know there were problems with inviting allto Houston before the idea collected too much momentum and caused problems. At present we will be tight accommodating all interested HALO members. We should have a much better picture of schedule and capacity early next week.
