I was ready to gear up and start hunting out Suni insurgents north of the Green Zone. Throw in a few oil fires and camels and it looked like Iraq to me:tex .

Went to PR today, it was like breathing talcum powder, you could taste it and feel it in your lungs, very Iraq looking. Alll clear in Richardson.

Well, y'all saw the pics, it was bad here; the development across the street (3rd pic) didn't help. I can still taste the grit in my mouth :vomit:

Power was out for most of the afternoon here in Plano. The wind even knocked over my mt. bike on the patio.

My thoughts exactly. I said the same thing this afternoon when I was picking up some fast food. The lady at the window asked how I was doing, and I said, "I feel like I'm in a W. Texas sandstorm."
I think its about over for now.

By the time it reached us it was dark so I figured it was fog then I got out and felt it hit my face and realized thats dirt! And since my truck is black now it looks like poo.

Yeah, we were out on 6 different calls for downed trees (across the road) and downed power lines / grass fires for 11 hours straight yesterday..... whewwwww..... listening to the chatter on the other FD's radio channels, we weren't the only ones.......:eek2:

Yep it caused me to cancel my race w/ a cam only LS1 T/A. My buddy just got the cam in and we were goin to do some red lights and highway bombs, but it looked like Armageddon outside (not to mention all that dust that would be sucked up!!). Oh well today I think we're goin to go to Kennendale and play.

Yeah, me too... and most of it ended up in the pool. I'm half-afraid to look at the filter and the pumps, they ain't workin' too good. :(

Did anyone happen to see the weatehr pattern that caused this?? I saw it last nite on the news, but I can't find the map they used; but it was a big high just west of the rockies, and a big low just east of them, which made for a HUGE flow down the eastern side of the Rockies, bending across the western half of the state, and right across us. :(
