Today was the day! knana

I normally don´t take my truck out for work, but today i did.
And it was the perfect day!

I went 40 mls. to one of our dealers i work with to get some bricks and insulation stuff.

(Autobahn rules:
Slower vehicles always have to go on the right lanes. Left lanes only for pass other vehicles)

On the way back i changed from the Autobahn 352 to the A2.
There was a Dodge SRT10 single Cab on the middle lane (3 lanes).
He was going around 80 mph.
So i changed from the Autobahn entry lane to the left lane and passed him with WOT to show him a Lightning.... :nana2

It happened like i wished...
He changed from the middle lane to the left right behind me to follow me.....

I slowed down to around 70 mph because of traffic and he was big in my rearview mirror.
The cars in front of me changed to the middle to let me pass them and i kicked the pedal down.
The guy behind me did the same...
I moved away from him, not fast but he started to get smaller and smaller in the mirror. The windchannel i did doesn´t helped him.
Our speed until next traffic was around 140-150 mph.
Slowed down again to 70 because of traffic and i changed to middle lane to let him pass me...
As he was beside me bothof us gave a  thru the window....
So we changed positions...
I was going behind him as traffic was gone....
Both in WOT and i had to move my foot away from pedal several times.
Again up to around 150mph.
Traffic came again and i went to the exit to go back to the right Autobahn exit.
I never thought to get that chance in germany !

Very cool! Those things are fat heavy pigs! And we thought the Lightning had the aerodynamics of a brick...

Must be nice to be able to drive like that and not worry about police.

You must have a really good OEM motor. Seems like guys over here do just a couple of 120-130mph pulls and the engine's grenade at sustained high loads.

From the beginning the motor knows higher speeds. I never had problems or bad sounds from the engine... (3x knock on wood).

The first 1000 mls. i never gone faster than 100 mph on the Autobahn. After i had the 1000 mls on her i started to go faster slowly. Since around 1300 mls. she knows the highspeed.

She gets good oil and gas.

I can´t count the Autobahn times with more than 140 mph since i´ve got her in September 2004.

I hope she will still like it like i do.

No chip, tune, or pullies, I think, tells you how safe the stock set up is?
You think maybe Ford engineers are smarter than the tuners?

Me neither...:rll: :rll: :rll:

It is cool to know that a stock Lightning can handle "The World's Fastest Production Truck" in identical conditions. :bows

We know an SRT-10 is no match for a Lightning at the drag strip.
