I went out with my brother-in-law yesterday and fished under the 35 bridge. Not even a bite. We were going to try for some sandies closer to shore but ran out of time. :crying:

I got off work to go to the doc and went fishing instead of going back today. We got nothing but some guy in a boat said he got 4 bass and 2 were 4lb out of Lake Arlington. TALON fishing tournament? I got a perfect lake where there might be 1 or 2 other people on it at most.

I am more into crappie, but i never throw a sandy back. You can limit out where i told you!!The Crappie are slow now but the sand bass are spawning.Every one i caught was full of eggs.Lets just say i need a new fillet knife blade. They are in shallow water on the bank.Watch out for the 500++ pound gators there.I have personally seen many that would have a man for a snack.I wouldnt reccommend those tubing rigs.

This is where I like to take the boat since it is not fished by boat a lot and very calm. No a$$holes making wakes and flipping us over. :throw: http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/fishboat/fish/recreational/lakes/lost_creek/

Beau see what you can do about that. :beer:They havent bothered anyone, but i saw one that made me be a bit more careful.Lot of people dont know that lewisville is infested with gators. You can see the slides all up and down the bank there. They are up in that creek nesting just like the fish this time of year.

Last night i wacked a tree.We need some rain bad!!!You could hardly feel it in the boat then came the vibration.:hammer: I new i focked it up.:hammer: I got a question for you experienced boaters,if i get a stainless prop and you nip a stump(which is what this was:eek: ) are you @ risk of damaging the lower end of the motor.Hell i bairly nipped this stump and it destroyed this prop..I am gona see if James Propeller in farmers branch can fix this one.:hammer: Thinking of a stainless????I guess its broke in now!!Next time i am gona use a GPS to track a stump free route.Pic isnt that good but one of the blades has a 45 degree bend in it about a inch in.

am out of the boat owning business now, but instead of stainless, get one of the new polycarbonate (plastic like) props that lets you change out a single blade if is breaks, but they bend and dont break easily as well.. they perform as well as the aluminum and ss varieties too. The aluminum ones are easier to fix and cheaper, if you mess up the ss ones, there's some real money going then.. Also, with the ss prop, you have a better chance of shearing the pin and being out on the lake trying to fix it or looking for a tow home..

Nice boat Beau, I got a little Minn Kota on your old boat with the poly prop. I hit some trees and a few rocks with it, nothing happened but a couple little scrapes. We were fishing for 23 hours the past 2 days in that boat. :tu: 2 of the many fish that was caught. biggest bass was Jakes and biggest Crappie was mine. The bat is one of 4 I killed this weekend too. All 4 were staying in the tracks on the barn door when my dad opened it they got squished. I shut the dorr today and they were all alive still but ould not fly and very injured. So don't get mad I killed bats who ever likes them.

I used Mc Gill Propeller on mill street in Lewisville.51 bucks fixed it.I am sure we will be doing alot of business :burnout:
James Propeller in F.B. is no longer there.Dont know if they are out of business or just moved.

Hey, what ever happened to that TALON fishing tourney??? Everyone forget about it or think it is a stupid idea? I would love to do some fishing in a big boat if I can ride along with someone. I can bring some beverages or whatever is needed.
