We have a creek that has taken close to 30 ft of shore and continues to get bigger with heavy rains, my next door neighbor dug a new channel from his property and through ours so there are no bends, its straight through now, so we need alot of dirt, rock, gravel, concrete, etc to fill in the old part of the creek and tie into the new channel.
Anyone know anybody??
It doesn't have to be clean fill, just trying to reclaim our back yard

In Carrollton they have attempted MANY times to put concrete paths in the basin of the creeks here and they ALWAYS get washed out in 12 months or so
water doesnt flow straight - so the creek wont stay in the straight banks
if you are willing to work on it on a yearly basis you can slow the progress but not stop it
You could always put up a sign like you see on the roads "fill dirt wanted "

My next door neighbor is a pool builder, and he has a spray they use on pools to make walls, when we get it filled in, he is going to spray the banks with this stuff to make a concrete bank, then we wont have to worry about errosion again

at the rate its going now, in 3 years it will be next to the house
so if it lasts 3 years thats fine
the way its run now it has a huge 90 degree bend, so a straight channel would be 100 times better than what we have now

the bet was that 3 years after you finished the work it would NOT be in the same bank. If youve been working on it for 18 months its a big problem ....

LOL were getting the work done for free which is why it has taken 18 months, he dumps loads when he has jobs (pools, city work, etc), my parents neighbor made the new channel which was done 18 months ago and still holding strong, the updated pics are filling the old creek in, the banks of the new channel haven't eroded after 18 months
I'll update when it hits the 3 year mark

You need to put in the 6foot dia. connecting concrete dranage pipes and fill the whole thing in level.Had a bud with similar problem and the homeowners paid for it.Worked great no more erosion:tu:He/neighbors hired someone to install the big concrete tubes/pipes.Then they rented a bulldoser and filled it all in.Excellent fix,but costly.Have a keg party and get the rest of the neighbors to chip in.My buds problem was identical to your pic.Good luck!!You might need the 10 foot diameter ones WOW!!
