I first got the news on the way up to to L fest this past year. She was admitted to the hospital due to being very weak. After some blood work she was diagnosed with MDS
( Myelodysplastic syndrome ) which is a cancer of the bone marrow that destroys the marrows ability to make white blood cells.

She faught a good fight over the last six months but her body couldn't keep up and broke down significantly over the last 2 weeks.

Hospice of East Texas was a true blessing to our family as their generous help and wonderful attitude allowed my mom to pass with diginity and grace.
