I have a bunch of metal laying around and I was going to try and make a set of slapper bars like the lakewoods, but i need a couple of dimensions from you guys that have a set of lakewoods. Could someone let me know what the two dimensions are from the top of the plate to the top of the bar. Thanks

Thanks steve.
I did however find this on nloc. I wonder how accurate it is.

That is pretty accurate. I built a pair of clamp on traction bars from those dimensions. Note that the dimensions are for a stock lightning. If you have rear leafs removed or aftermarket springs you need to adjust the dimensions. I recently sold the trac bars to Sandman.

I measured 5.25 on the rear and 2.75 on the front.

Got any pics of these bars?

I do not have any imediatly available. I have some that I took with my SLR camera, but have not yet developed. If you are not in any big hurry, I'll see about getting that roll of film developed, and then scan in the pictures. Probably get it done towards the end of next week.

I made some this weekend. I just can't decide on either gloss red or gloss black. I will be painting the calipers gloss red so I thought they might look good together. What do you think?
