Last night i was able to try out the stall converter and i couldn't hook.

When i would lauch she would sit back and launch good but then when it would rock forward she would go to spinning and my dad said it was wheel hopping a little..

the only traction mods i have is lakewoods gapped about 5/8" and slick with 15psi in them..

1) What should the gap be on my traction bars

2) Would stiffer shocks help in the rear

3) If i get new shocks when i put a TVS system on it will they would or will i have to get a different size

Metco lowers. Slapper bars are and will always be crap. You get what you pay for.

2nd vote for Metco lowers. You may be making more power than I do, but my truck hooks pretty well even with drag radials (no slicks).

Any fixed position bar is better than the Saturday night special slappers. The main drawback to 54 and 58 inch bars is dragging their brakets on the ground. They also hit most exhaust systems pretty well.

Very true. My drivers side front bracket is bent so far out of whack! I'm lowered, so that doesn't help but i also had the brackets custom reworked so they would be shorter.

Exhaust hitting.... yes, its flattened out the pipe where it hits. I love the 58" bars but will be switching to Metco Lowers when i get some funds.
