They come in handy.... If the battery keeps it's charge. I use mine to take to the track, cuz I know I'm going to change tires. I would not keep it in the truck just for a flat. (battery might be dead).
I don't have that one. I have the L-cheapo from pep boys.

I agree dana that would be a great additon to the tools. I would rather have one that is cordless like the one michael said he has. How much did you give for the one you have michael?

One of the things my business did for over a decade was install play equipment all over the world.
I can say that only two brands ever cut the mustard, Hitachi and Makita and I have owned over 100 of these cordless impacts. We use to buy them 10 at a time. Currently my favorite is the 18 volt makita lithium ion
I think Hitachi has whored themselves out to home depot and lowe's the tools they produce are not what they used to be
We even tried the snap on version at one time
These are great for removing the lugs and putting them back on but you will still need a four way to get it started.

These tools are a waste of money, buy race gas instead.
It takes ~10 seconds a lug with a 4 way. Almost a whole minute per wheel.;)

Well, I would go cordless but this way by using a car battery it has more power (at least I think so).. but most of all I like the fact that you dial in the lb ft of torque for the bolts.. so you get them back on j u s t right..

It looks like a Chinese tool. I would buy something with some balls. I like the Milwaukee and Ingersol products.

:bows ............ I have watched guys spend more time dicking around with these toys at the track than I care to mention. I get a kick out of walking up to them after I am done and asking if they need help finishing their wheels...:rll: .

DeWalt 150.00 off e-bay has 300ft lbs 18 volt works awesome:tu:
I went to Kennedale last week and used the Snap on 18V 1/2" impact. I was very impressed with it. Anything that IR makes is going to be good. Period.
If I had to choose, it'd be the IR, Makita or the Snap-On(in that order).
