I have a stock '99 80mm MAF and I have an extra housing of a 90mm MAF. is it possible to put the sensor from the 80mm into the 90mm and have a working 90mm? If I load the 90mm tune from my predator would this work? just curious.

The sensors are different as well you cheap bastard:D

If you did that, all you would be doing is flowing more air, than the sensor is telling the computer you are. Witch means you will be running lean.

just thought I would ask since it was here laying around. there is no reason to go buy a 90mm if the stuff I have would have worked right, but looks like it won't. Thnx

You can always go the MAFIA route with the 80MM which will extend the voltage range

Well right now I have a 2#er with the 80mm and I hit 4.77v when I was datalogging the other night. I plan on getting a 4#er soon and I am just trying to plan ahead. Would the mafia be ok with a 4#er and the 80mm? or should I get a 90mm and the mafia to be safe?

The MAFIA has 6 settings to extend the voltage range. I run a 4lb with the setting on '1'. Before the MAFIA I was just about pegging the MAF with 4.97 counts. You do have to tune for it though

Are you still running the 80mm? or the 90mm?
