I actually love it when the places that get work by being the cheap arses on the block give people just what they pay for:rll: .
Same thing happens in my business...but folks just keep right on asking for cheapy cheapy.....then they act as if they are surprised when they get focked. Ya just gotta luv it...:D .

It is automatically assumed that I am expempt from the classification of "other people";)
Now categories like "that SOB", that sorry SOB, that grumpy anti social SOB, that grumpy bastard". All of those are acceptable catagorizations of me.

You guys poke fun at people for taking their car to places like that. There are a lot of people that do not know any better, and I'm sorry, but their not that cheap. Every woman I have ever known has been rip-ed off by a place like that. The only thing their good for in state inspections, and then they will still try to tell you that you need repairs done. The only thing I have never had them say I needed something done to is my Harley. I think 2 wheels scares them.

Bullsh!t. A 29 dollar oil change is cheap. Anytime someone tells you they can change your oil for 20-29 bucks, and support the costs and overhead of running a business, you better duck, because nobody can support a business on 20 dollar oil changes. The 29 dollar oil change is the bait to get you in there and rape you on other services. The cheap arse oil change is why alot of people go there to begin with, never thinking about the fact that it's not enough to support a business.
You talk about women being ripped off....LOL...I have stood there and watched them put the rod to alot of men too. My favorite is the air filter scam....LOL...everybody needs an air filter.
Oh and by the way...I'm the only one poking fun at people trying to cheap out on oil changes. Maybe it hits close to home for me. I get sick and tired of dip sh!ts calling me asking me to match some rip off companies price on an AC tune up. In my business, the bait is a 19.95 tune up. Catch is...you don't get anything for that amount. That is just to look at your system. If it needs cleaned or actually tuned up...that costs extra. But folks take the bait.

I caught the Acura dealer in a lie after a dyno session one Saturday morning, stopped by to look at the three motor mounts that they told the wife they just replaced.
Pulled into the bay in the L. I said show me the motor mounts that you just pulled out and replaced. They couldn't find them, car was still on the lift, wife was paying for the bill in the office.
They had not replaced them, but got to for free as I watched.:D
The Kwik Kar guys down the street get our business. They are good hard working guys, I let them hot rod the L during inspections and they do even when the Richardson Police are there, which is kind of fun to watch.
They maintain the Richardson Police race cars.

That is why when I go to get the oil changed, I stand right next to the truck as they do all the work. If they say I can't stand there, then I just say fine. I will take my money to some other shop.

This is nothing new guys.
My dad took the '73 lime green Country Squire wagon to the local dealer for a full tune up before coming to pick me up from college graduation.
It died on the way and he sat for hours before getting it towed to another Ford dealer where they showed him all bad parts, cap, rotor, points, plugs, wires, fuel filter, air filter etc. that had NOT been replaced.
That dealer signed a document stating that they had not been replaced.
He went back to the original dealer with the old parts and told them you get to pay me back for all of these bills including towing, or I will own this dealership.
My dad is very level headed jar head, picture Clint E... really (Army LT Vietnam), but this was one time I thought he was going to kill someone.
They payed.
