The rubber flap that runs from the bottom of the radiator to the bottome of the front bumper? I've pulled up too close to parking curbs a few too many times and have ripped the holes out of the rubber thing now it just hangs. Can I just take it off or do I need to find a way to put it back on. The only thing I can think of it doing is stopping rocks from hitting the radiator. If I do need it does anyone know where I can buy a new one?
Thanks in advance.

i think that one actually goes from the back of the heat exchanger to the front bumper cover, i dont have one on mine anymore for a while now and all seems to be well

attaches to the heat exchanger to the bumper, hods the bottom of the bumper a little more stable, but other than that you don't really need it

I noticed mine hanging down, it looks like crap I manged to fix it but if it don't stay up i'll just heave it.
I thought it was there to smooth airflow underneath and reduce drag...

it may be there to be sure the air coming thru the bumper passes thru the exchanger rather than taking the path of least resistance under the vehicle ....

Doug+1 But I don't know what difference in airflow it makes by removing it.

It is there to force more air through the heat exchanger.

You can assume that ford thought it was needed or they would have left it off and saved the $$ for the part and the install
