If you hide in camo in yer back yard to scare your friends... You might be a redneck..

Not really a redneck thing, they were making fun of my camo and thought that it would be easily spotted. But it does sound like Redneck hide and seek:tu:

Nice turkeys, Beau! :tu: Why a 10 gauge? I'm thinking that a 12 gauge 3-1/2" round should "git 'er done" given that your area of OK. is fairly dense with hardwoods/evergreens.

One thing to keep in mind this time of year are rattlers and copperheads. I've been deer-hunting (late November) and tending to stands in the past and have walked upon them in Marshall Cty.

Also, keep an eye out for wild-boar and any signs they are in the area. Wouldn't hurt to keep a number of sabot rds. if you run across some of them.

My understanding is that they are considered vermin in OK. by law so it's alright to engage and "thin the herd". http://www.ls2.com/forums/images/smilies/2gunsfiring_v1.gifhttp://www.ls2.com/forums/images/smilies/bigun2.gif

Ronald,i use a 10 ga. because they are hard as hell to get close and i happen to have one i use for geese and duck huntin.I used a 3 1/2 mag full choke 6 shot on these birds.I love the power too.It rocked the **** out of the woods. A 12 3 1/2 is just as good.My 12 only chambers 3 inch.I wanted to make sure i got one this year.

Beau,

I can only imagine that 10 gauge can clear a swath of brush! Your chiropractor must like you. :D

If you want a good taxidermist in that area, I know of one that did a very nice job on Regan's 13-pt. whitetail
