Texas Tortoise!

I saw one yesterday on the I-20 service road near the Ranger hill. I was awe struck seeing this huge arse tortoise crossing the road. It had elephant like stubby legs and a horned shell. Very interesting creature!

You don't see them much anymore, like the horned toad. You have land way out there? All my inlaws live in Santo

No, I am a Tahokas Whitness I was just passing through Ranger on my way to tahoka. I wish I could have stopped and picked it up... The state has them marked as threatened non-game species.
