NLOC Hacked...

Did anybody see this? It appears that somebody hacked the NLOC forum.

I think I got lucky because I have my computer set to block all cookies unless I specifically accept them.

It's trying to install some program called "driver cleaner".

How do we look for this?

It reroutes me through 3 or 4 different sites with the final window looking like this:

Then my virus checker flags me that this "driver cleaner" installation was attempted but has been blocked and is a security threat.

Yeah stay away till they get it fixed

There was a security update for Vbulletin last week
I applied the patch and planned to do the full upgrade today
Looks like they MAY have missed applying the patch

I got it last night. Easy to get rid of.
And NLOC is not fixed yet.... Just tryed.

This is why I like my Apple ...no worries.

It's also why we run Solaris at work, almost all of the crappy hacks/worms/viruses are written for windows based machines

The problem is for work there is so much proprietary software that won't run on Apple. I don't even think SCT will run on Apple, anyone tried?

Down load ad-aware and spy-bot search and destroy. Their free and work.

You got the full bug. (so did I) Down load the stuff listed above and run it.

You don't have to down load it. It does it all by it self..

That really sux, I hope the website turns out alright. How or why would this happen? I'm thinking it was those advertisements with the nice looking girl:confused:

I noticed that I could access all the main pages for NLOC except the Forum page. My Norton identified the threat and blocked it. :cool:

It started with the Forum page because I was on it last night when it went down. It must have taken the other pages out soon after. :cool:

The good part is there are a couple of programs that will run XP natively on the Intel based machines. It's helpful when you need to run something that is Windows only

I also use a MAC. So I was ok.

Glad I wasn't surfing the sites at work. :)

That would have sucked to explain why our network was corrupted.

A lot of the NLOC guys are hanging out at the delvallo.net site. I know that the local jersey site but there are others on. Just an FYI in case someone needs to contact someone.

Some of the links and the mods dont work yet, but the forums and galleries are back.
