stock block... 6 lower stock upper... lil KB... full exhaust = faster or BOOM!! I have the supporting stuff also.

My heap is slow, trying to figure out if I should go the cheap route and pulley it some more. Also the avg gain is 20hp/30tq correct??

Depending on the size of the upper, it could be dangerous.

Do it, I am about to order a 6lb lower with the stock upper. If it breaks build it faster:D

You could always add a little nitrous to cool things down a bit! :evil

Check original post for upper size... 2.5!! 3.0 really.

I think some of you just want to see carnage pics :D.

Anyone chime in on how much gain (roughly) itll net??

Depending on your tune.....could go boom. If you're big on freeway runs or romping it on the streets you could be in trouble.

Mine went boom on a highway run with about 15psi on the stock block.

I do have the JLP plenum...

I do highway runs, shutting down at 110-115 (before the shift!!). I wouldn't say Im hard on it, but I do drive it. Ahhhhh decisions, decisions.

i would run the 6# in the summer time and switch back to the 4# in the winter months

I would love to go with a Kenne Belle but my tuner does not allow it for the Autobahn rides with the stock block.

And i trust in Rick of Amazon.

The boost is ok, but it would come to quick. This would be the cause of following problems for me....

I will have to stay with my 4# lower and safe tune to enjoy the rides in all situations.

3 times knock on wood......

Well, I got the 2.3 KB with the JLP plenum on a couple days ago, I've got a 6# lower and a 3.75" upper and it runs like a dream, got a nice temp. Tune by Terry till I can get my FPs and wideband on.

Solid 15....

15 on the street with pump gas is plenty. I wouldn't push it more than this. What is another 20rwhp going to do for you on the street anyway? I'm being serious here. Put the 6# on at the track, run some 105 unleaded and you'll see the gains where you really could use it...at the track.

Too many variables (engine coolant temp, air charge temp, engine/trans load) on the street for me to feel good about a stock block with more than ~465-475rwhp from 15+psi.

Just my $.02

Have any of yall ran the stock plugs with 5 or 6 lb pulleys, I now you should switch out to the tr6.

What's the saying? Blow it up, won't knock her up...? Wait that was something else.

I say put the 6# on. If you send pieces of the engine through the hood, you can scrap it and drive a nice kia while you rebuild your engine.

Pretty damn close. I believe the 3U 4L makes more than 3.25U 6L. Maybe some math whiz will chime in... but I think its within half a lb differ.

Preciate the input from everyone. I think Ill take the advice and use the 6 for the track. I guess Im getting greedy wanting to go faster. :burnout:

I always like running a big lower and big upper

less chance for belt slip if you go with a bigger lower than if you go with a smaller upper

with my 8# lower and 3.50 upper I'm making around 16#'s, but I have a 2.6 KB

At the track I plan on running a 10# lower and 3.00 upper, but this is with 116 octane and my new fuel system and 75# injectors
