But this time its a projector, we decided to turn our empty room into a movie theater, we switched our cable box to a HDMI box and ran an HDMI cable to the projector, bought a new 7.1 channel receiver, LG Blu-Ray and HDDVD player (its a single dvd player that plays both formats), and Polk Audio LSi series Speakers, the series finale of the Sopranos is going to look sick on Sunday!!!!

The thing I like about these Polk Audio speakers is they have a built in 10" powered sub woofer, so we have 2 10" subs and don't have to buy another bulky sub a find a place for it

Very nice, congratulations. I am thinking that the projectors will replace the TVs before too long. Get a good screen too, it makes a lot of difference.

after we finish painting the room black and get all of the wiring through the walls and ceiling, were going to build a frame to house the screen and front speakers and center channel speaker

you can definately see a major difference between red/green/blue component cables and the HDMI cable

can't wait to hook my Nintendo Wii up to it :d

Since I'm taking night classes for my Dental school pre reqs I haven't been able to work on the room until about 11ish at night. But here is the progress so far.....

Were still waiting on the movie chairs to arrive as well as the new rug, my uncle and I are going to build a frame to hang the screen on and build in the front speakers to hide them as well as put some type of border to hide the wall speaker wires and give it some definition, but its coming together quite nicely, the Sopranos is going to look sweet on the projector sunday night in HD 1080p :bows

I have no life so you guys can have this cool stuff.
My newest TV is 24 years old.

Just pissed that I have to go overseas again and hold the PRC's hands to show them how to do their job again.

Looks great.:tu::tu:

I just made a move to the dark side. I passed my 4 year old 42" Samsung DLP to my daughter(along with another year on the full extended warranty). She has spent a crapload of money buying her house and all the trimmings. It's one less item she has to buy. It gave me an excuse to order up a Samsung 42 inch plasma for the master bedroom. I was drawn over by the ability to mount it on the wall. Sorry about that Mark....:D. I went with this model http://www.amazon.com:80/gp/product/images/B000NEJYZA/ref=dp_image_0/104-7040721-1891967?ie=UTF8&n=172282&s=electronics

We need to see a "slim line" of DLP (4" or less preferred). I would be all over a wall mount set.

By the way.....I am damned impressed with how long the light bulbs in this thing are lasting. The sales people had me worried about this issue back when I bought it.
