Hey I have a 00 lightning with a small intercooler leak any way to fix it or any one saleing one. Ford wants 1,400 for a new one. :confused:

Any radiator shop should be able to sweat it for you, you could get an aftermarket one for around 250-400 range. I'm sure someone here has one that they could hook you up on.

Ford offered a recall a few years back

You might be able to convince the dealer to do it under the LONG expired recall but I doubt it

You might try to find a owner who went turbo and buy his intercooler

He is talking about the intercooler under the blower not the heat exchanger in the grill

You are better off finding a used one, the dealer kit is expensive, the old style will keep breaking don't throw any more money at it. I've got an updated 00 intercooler I'd sell for 400 bucks it is used but it works:D

what color is yours, yeah theres two trucks that look alike, mine is a 00 red on blk, and the other is a 01-02 red on blk w/a blk stripe on the hood

My is also RED it is also a 00. with a saint anger sticker on the back driver side window. I am pretty sure I've have seen your truck around northside drive.

I got an LFP alluminum Heat exchanger for 50 bucks..... pretty new only had it on my truck for 3 months, its only problem is it needs to have a piece about an 1 in long that is bent in on the top right of it. Something that if you bend it back out then weld it up its good as new.

Hey Terry thanks for hooking me up with the intercooler. I will be droping it in some time this week. I am going to go ahead and change the plugs I have a stock truck plugs are TR6's what gap do you recommend for a truck like my???

I usually put them in out of the box @35ish that way you can run more boost later.

take em out and hose them down with brake or carb cleaner
